  16. Yes, much cheaper just to open the case up and *look* at it. To do this, 
  17. simply remove the two rubber "feet" on the rear bottom of the modem. 
  18. Underneath each of these is a hole with a Phillips-head screw at the 
  19. bottom. Unscrew these then gently lift the bottom cover off the modem.

  21. Reverse the process to put it back together again...

  23. Now, whether you have a single board or mother/daughterboard unit won't 
  24. mean anything unless you are using a US/Canada unit and it conforms to 
  25. Hong Kong standards since USR has not released anything but a domestic 
  26. Flash ROM upgrade.
